Texas state workers’ compensation is a program that provides medical and financial benefits to state employees who are injured or become ill as a result of their work. Here’s some key information:

Coverage:

  • All state employees, including those hired, elected, appointed, or working for the Community Supervision and Corrections Department, are automatically covered by the program at no cost.
  • The program covers semaglutide on-the-job injuries and occupational diseases arising from workplace exposure.

Benefits:

  • Medical treatment: The program covers all necessary medical treatment related to the work-related injury or illness.
  • Income replacement: If you’re unable to work due to your injury or illness, you may receive weekly compensation equal to two-thirds of your average weekly wage, up to a maximum amount set by law.
  • Other benefits: Depending on the severity of your injury or illness, you may also be eligible for other OWCP benefits, such as vocational rehabilitation, disability benefits, and death benefits for your dependents.
